What is Allocentra? One ops console for MSPs and IT teams

Allocentra5 min read

Allocentra is RMM, ticketing, and patching in one dashboard, built in Johannesburg, billed per technician in ZAR. What is in the box, and what is not.

The RMM market has a template for this post: define the product, list the modules, mention pricing, ask for a trial.

That template is useful. The usual voice is not.

Allocentra is not an AI workforce, and it is not a 40-tool bundle glued together after acquisitions. It is a Johannesburg-built ops console for people who already do the work — monitoring, patches, tickets, alerts, and client reports — without a USD invoice that grows every time a client buys another laptop.

This is what that means in practice.

What Allocentra is

Allocentra is RMM plus the PSA work that actually happens every day, in one login.

You install an agent. You see the fleet. You patch on a policy. You take a ticket. You send the client a report they can read. The same device record sits under all of that — not five exports you reconcile on Friday.

Two audiences, same product:

  • MSPs — multi-tenant from day one. Per-client devices, tickets, portal, and reports.
  • Internal IT — single-tenant defaults. Same console, less “client” ceremony.

We launched in February 2026 from Sandton. Bootstrapped. Small on purpose. Still on support most mornings.

What is actually in the box

Skip the “single pane of glass” slogan. Here is the work the console is built for.

See the fleet

  • Device monitoring — CPU, memory, disk, network, online/offline. 60-second heartbeat from Windows, macOS, and Linux agents.
  • Inventory — hardware, installed software, serials, from the agent, not a spreadsheet.
  • Security posture — AV, firewall, BitLocker keys as the agent reports them.
  • Alerting — thresholds, email and in-app. Tune what pages you vs what you log.

Fix it

  • Patch management (Growth+) — policies, deploy windows, bulk approve, agent-driven installs. Compliance you can show a client.
  • Ticketing — priorities, SLAs, internal notes, client replies, email-to-ticket.
  • Remote control — MeshCentral from the device page when you need hands on the glass.
  • Remote actions — restart a service, push software, run a script from the device row (scripting depth is Scale).

Run the service

  • Client portal — they see their tickets only.
  • Scheduled reports — patch compliance, uptime, assets, as a PDF, without a separate reporting SaaS.
  • IT documentation — runbooks and environment notes next to the fleet, not in a side wiki.
  • Audit log — who changed what.

Optional

  • Network discovery (Growth+) — scan a LAN from a Windows probe, push the agent to verified PCs.
  • MDM — paid add-on, not buried in a higher tier as a surprise.

If a module is not on this list, assume it is not in the product yet. That is deliberate.

Who it is for

Allocentra fits if:

  • You are an MSP with roughly 1–20 technicians, or an in-house team of 1–10, mostly in South Africa or the region.
  • You are tired of an RMM tab, a PSA tab, a patcher, an alerter, and a portal that do not share a device.
  • Your revenue is in ZAR and your tooling invoice is in USD.
  • You would rather a calm console than a feature list you will never open.

It is a poor fit if you need a full PSA finance suite (quoting, projects, deep billing), native backup, or an “autonomous IT” copilot closing tickets while you sleep. Those are real products. They are not this one.

Pricing is part of the product

Most RMM vendors charge per device. Land a 40-seat client and the software bill jumps even if your team did not.

Allocentra charges per technician, in ZAR, via Paystack.

MSP planPer tech / monthEndpointsClients
SoloR700Up to 150Up to 3
GrowthR1,400UnlimitedUnlimited
ScaleR3,000UnlimitedUnlimited

Internal IT is a separate track: Professional R800, Expert R1,600, Master R3,500 per technician.

Annual billing is 11 months charged, 1 month free — not a mystery discount. Prices include VAT; we are not currently VAT-registered, so invoices are standard invoices, not tax invoices. Solo is the only plan with an endpoint cap. MDM is extra.

Your bill should move when you hire. Not when a client adds laptops.

Details and the feature matrix live on pricing. Do not trust a blog table if the pricing page has moved.

What we do not pretend

Honesty is cheaper than a disappointed trial.

  • We are early. Founded 2026. We ship weekly. We do not have a 12-year integration marketplace.
  • PSA means tickets, SLAs, portal, reports — not Autotask-shaped finance.
  • No AI agent that “resolves 40% of tickets.” Automation we ship is policies, scripts, webhooks, and thresholds. If that sounds boring, it is supposed to.
  • Hosting is AWS eu-west-1 (Ireland). Allocentra is a South African company with POPIA-aware practices, not a local-data-centre fairy tale.
  • Support is us. Small team, real replies. Not 24/7 chat theatre.

If you need the missing pieces, keep the specialist tool — or wait. Do not buy Allocentra to check a box we did not build.

How to try it without a demo deck

A useful trial is not a click-through tour.

  1. Create an account (30-day trial on MSP / IT Professional; card tokenised, not charged until day 30).
  2. Put the agent on a real site — even ten machines.
  3. Open a ticket, approve a patch policy, generate one client report.
  4. If that workflow feels like your Tuesday, book a demo and ask the ugly questions. If it does not, cancel before day 30.
